TAMBIÉN EXISTEN DIFERENCIAS EN LA KATANA DE RAMIREZ/CONNOR SEGÚN LA PELÍCULA DEBIDO A QUIEN LAS HIZO O EL MOLDE QUE EMPLEARON.

EN EL GUIÓN ORIGINAL DE BELLWOOD Y FERGUSON, ESCRITO EN 1983 Y BASADO EN EL ORIGINAL DE WIDEN, SE ESTABLECEN DOS NORMAS, DE LAS CUALES SÓLO UNA SE MANTENDRÍA EN GUIONES POSTERIORES

· EL INMORTAL VENCEDOR RECLAMARÁ LA ESPADA DEL INMORTAL CAÍDO EN COMBATE.

· La regla de la espada parece haberse establecido a nivel argumental por Bellwood y Ferguson para "recriminar" el error de Connor de haber dejado atrás la espada de Fasil. Los inmortales deberían a toda costa deshacerse de las pruebas y evitar que cualquier autoridad les relacione con los asesinatos o descubran su secreto. Kastagir le llega a reprochar este incidente durante su reencuentro

· En esta versión del guión se establece que la razón por la que Kurgan venció a Ramirez fue porque Connor le había cogido prestada su katana para enseñarla en el pueblo donde trabajaba. Por tanto, según la tradición, Kurgan debería haber heredado la masamune por "pleno derecho"
